Savory yogurt dressing

Here's a yogurt dressing that makes a perfect dip for a vegetable appetizer platter, corn chips or any other goodies. It goes well with baked chicken, steamed vegetables and other dishes that need a little flavor boost. Using best quality yogurt you can find is important for getting the most flavor into the sauce you make. This recipe is the epitome of simplicity. Consider the the suggested mixture of spices as a starting point, "vary to suit your taste" is kind of the theme song around here!
Ingredients:
- yogurt 1 cup
- cumin, ground 1/2 tsp
- coriander, ground 1 tsp
- cardamom, ground 1/2 tsp
- allspice, ground 1/4 tsp
- green onion, chopped 2 tsp
- parsley, fresh, chopped 2 tsp
- lemon zest 1/6 lemon
- mushroom powder 1 tsp
- nutritional yeast 1/2 tsp
- Szechuan peppercorn, ground 1/4 tsp
- maple syrup 1/2 tsp
- salt, pepper 1/4 tsp
- Put yogurt into a small bowl.
- Add seasonings and mix thoroughly.
- Best if stands at room temperature for half an hour or so before serving. Should keep well in the refrigerator for several days.
